Man fatally shot in far northeast Dallas took himself to hospital, police say

   

A man who was fatally shot in far northeast Dallas early Saturday died at a hospital, police say.

Officers responded about 12:20 a.m. to a shooting call near the 9200 block of Skillman Street, near Audelia Road.

Investigators found that someone dropped off a man, 29-year-old Emethius Chiron Hardeman, at a hospital with a gunshot wound, where he died from his injuries. Police initially said that the man had “self-transported” to a hospital.

Police said no arrests have been made in the shooting. An investigation is ongoing.
