2 crashes on I-30 west in North Texas slow Wednesday morning traffic

Commuter traffic heading west on I-30 was snarled Wednesday morning after two crashes in Rockwall County, officials said.

One crash was at FM551 and the other was on the bridge over Lake Ray Hubbard.

The Texas Department of Transportation confirmed the first shortly after 7:30 a.m., noting traffic was having to be diverted to the shoulder of the road. The report said the crash was cleared by about 8:15 a.m.

The Rowlett Fire Department responded to a crash on the bridge, according to Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management. The crash also appeared to be cleared by 8:15 a.m.

It was not immediately known if anyone was injured in either of the crashes.
