There he goes again.
“He” being Pennsylvania Democrat Sen. John Fetterman, and “goes again” being the unpredictable senator ripping his own party again. This time, Fetterman took his fellow Democrats to task for “freaking out” over President-elect Trump’s decisive win over Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election.

In a new interview with The New York Times, Fetterman said the irrational outrage the Democrats have displayed following Trump’s win has only served to make him stronger and liberals irrelevant. “If you freak out on everything, you lose any kind of relevance.”
We’re not even at Thanksgiving, and Democrats just can’t stop losing our minds every fifteen minutes. We really need to pace ourselves, or, you know, for f***’s sake, just grab a grip.
[..]
I’m just saying, buckle up and pack a lunch, because it’s going to be four years of this. And if you have a choice to freak out, you know, on the hour, then that’s your right. But I will not. I’m not that dude, and I’m not that Democrat.
I’m going to pick my fights. If you freak out on everything, you lose any kind of relevance.
In response to a question about why he thinks Democrats continue to “freak out,” Fetterman said:
It’s symbiotic. One feeds off the other. The Democrats can’t resist a freakout, and that must be the wind under the wings for Trump. [The] freakout and all the anxiety and all that should have been before Nov. 5.
Does clutching the pearls so hard — does that change anything? Did it work? Did it change the election? Was it productive? And, like, I can’t believe the outrage. That has to be candy for Trump.

Again, spot-on.
Post-election, a majority of the left continue to play into Trump’s hand just as they played into it throughout the campaign. You can only call a guy “Hitler,” “fascist,” “racist,” “rapist,” et al. so many times before people get tired of hearing it. Fetterman’s party did that — and the twin hood ornaments of that clown car were Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
Fetterman Is Definitely Not ‘That Dude’
While Fetterman is sometimes at odds with his party and says he’s “not that dude” with respect to “freaking out,” he’s also definitely not “that dude” in another respect. Make no mistake: He’s also no former Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin, and he never will be. After years of frequent disagreement with his colleagues, Manchin left the Democrat Party in May and registered as an Independent.
Fetterman told The Times:
Hey, I’m a Democrat. And then there [has been] a lot of, ‘Is [he] going to be the next Manchin or Sinema or anything?’ No. That’s ridiculous. I’m not leaving my party. I just happen to have reasonable views.
It may be “ridiculous” — in fact, it is — but articles like those below clearly illustrate the cause of consternation on the left and within the Democrat Party when the Pennsylvania senator expresses his “reasonable views.”

While Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman is “not leaving my party,” his party would be far better off if it would heed more of his advice and take some of his positions rather than the radical leftists who hold the Democrat Party hostage.
