Jon Stewart Blisters Media’s Hysterical Speculation During the Election Over Trump Presidency

In this episode of “the Post-Election Fun Continues”…

As the Democrat histrionics continue over President-elect Donald Trump’s win over Vice President Kamala Harris and what he might do as a result of his decisive victory after he moves back into the White House, Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart is telling the Trump-loathing media to calm down.

Will they listen? Of course not, but Stewart is dead-on right. Mostly, that is.

On the Thursday episode of his “The Weekly Show” podcast, Stewart said nobody (particularly on the left) knows what’s what going to happen when Trump regains executive power:

Warning: coarse language

We don’t know what’s going to happen when Donald Trump takes over. Unfortunately, we can’t see into the future, but we have to be prepared for all outcomes. I don’t know how helpful it is to get us s****ing our pants this much this early.

Correct. But it sure is fun to watch.

Just before interviewing self-described democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Stewart said America is now in a “transitional period,” while making a joking reference to “Looney Tunes” characters:

We appear to be in a transitional period where we are not sure about whether the ground we are standing on is solid, although the news media seems convinced that we are the Road Runner and the Coyote,  and the Coyote has run over the cliff, and we just looked down and realized there’s nothing under our feet, and now we are plunging to our deaths.

Let’s remember:

The Democrats and their sycophantic media spent months comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler, calling his supporters “Nazis,” hysterically warning that a second Trump presidency would include internment camps for “enemies,” and making all kinds of other ridiculous and unfounded claims. The point? What kind of “solid ground” have these people been standing on for nearly four years? If anyone has run over the cliff, it’s the Democrat Party in its Trump-hating clown car.

Stewart then said this: “Because the media is always very circumspect.”

Given that the definition of “circumspect” is “wary,” or “unwilling to take risks,” I have zero idea what Stewart meant, given that the left-wing went all-in on the whole “Hitler” thing from outset — which only aided in the demise of Harris and down-ballot Democrats in the election.

Stewart then pivoted, suggesting it’s a “strange thing” for him to watch Trump vow to implement policy goals with which he agrees, considering that he — like HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher — is not exactly a fan of Donald Trump:

It is for me, for someone who has kind of complained about wanting government to be more efficient and more responsive and making fundamental changes to see that mantle being carried out by a group of people that I don’t necessarily trust to do it in a manner that is. But I guess that’s what it is when you that’s what losing elections is, man, you don’t, you don’t get to dictate anymore.

I hesitate to metaphorically compare Stewart, along with Maher, to a blind pig finding an acorn every now and then, but I will end with this:

People — virtually all people — ultimately revert to form. The minute you starting thinking Stewart or Maher has finally seen the light, you’re about to be reminded (perhaps not for the first time) that you should have known better in the first place.
