Could Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving’s injury have an impact on tonight’s game?
DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks will tip off against the Los Angeles Clippers at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on WFAA, but the team will be missing some key pieces to the lineup.
Luka Dončić suffered a heel contusion in his monster 45-point triple-double game in the Mavs victory against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
Superstar point guard Kyrie Irving has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury.
The Mavs are 11-7 in Western Conference games and are the fourth seed in the West with a 17-9 record in 26 games.
The Clippers are 10-11 against Western Conference opponents.
Despite Dončić being sidelined Thursday, the Mavs’ are 5-1 without the shooting guard. But with Irving out of the lineup, Dallas will need a big night from five-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson.
