While questioned by officers, Jordan Burk denied speaking with a 13-year-old, and he also denied saying anything sexual in nature, the documents read.
TYLER, Texas — A Palestine man accused of trying to solicit sex from two young girls was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by an online group.
Jordan Lee Burk, 27, was booked into the Smith County Jail on two counts of online solicitation of a minor on Wednesday and released the same day.
According to an arrest affidavit, Alex Rosen, the owner of a YouTube channel “Predator Poacher,” contacted the Tyler Police Department saying he spoke with Burk about having sexually explicit conversations with children as young as 11 years old. Rosen uses “Predator Poacher” to catch sexual predators online.
Rosen said his team had been in contact with Burk since June 2023. One of Rosen’s team members portrayed an 11-year-old girl and spoke with Burk online. Messages shared with police show that Burk sent inappropriate messages to the person he believed to be a young child, the document read.
Rosen contacted Burk at his job on Heritage Drive in Tyler, and Burk admitted to Rosen that he frequently views child pornography. Another team member in Rosen’s group also pretended they were a 13-year-old girl, the affidavit said.
Rosen gave the evidence he had over to police. While questioned by officers, Burk denied speaking with the 13-year-old, and he also denied saying anything sexual in nature.
