SAN ANTONIO – The Judson Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to move forward with its plans to consolidate select schools, moving students in the process.
Thursday’s decision came on the heels of a meeting that saw no action taken against a board member charged with DWI.

The district’s consolidation plans follow similar measures taken this month at North East Independent School District.
NEISD is considering consolidating three of its schools to combat a decline in enrollment. The district announced three meetings in January to discuss the matter.
Most of Judson’s board members voted in favor of the plans.
Coronado Village Elementary students and its dual language program will be moved to the newly built Selma Elementary School.
A STEM program currently housed at Judson Middle School will be moved to Kitty Hawk Middle School.
The board made an exception to continue a Spanish immersion program at Wortham Oaks Elementary. Twenty-five students are enrolled at the first-grade level, and an evaluation will be scheduled later.
