SAN ANTONIO – The family and friends of Savanah Soto gathered at Wild Flower Cemetery on Saturday to remember her, Matthew Guerra, and their unborn child one year after their murders.
The family released balloons to honor the three lives lost.
Guerra and Soto were shot to death one year ago. Authorities did not find their bodies until five days later. Their family demands justice.
“They robbed her from holding him, and I pray to God they pay the price for that. She didn’t deserve that,” said a family member.
As for the three people arrested in the case, Christopher Preciado and his parents, Ramon Preciado and Myrta Romanos, are still awaiting a trial date.
Ramon Preciado and Romanos have since had bond reduction hearings; both were denied.
Christopher Preciado, who is accused of the shooting, has yet to appear in court. The Bexar County District Attorney’s Office has not decided if the death penalty will be applied against him.
The next court hearing for all three suspects is scheduled for Jan. 27.
