SAPD officer injured after crash involving driver with active warrant, police say

  

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio police officer was injured after a crash involving a driver who had active warrants and no license, according to SAPD.

Two males crashed into the officer’s vehicle, which then struck a nearby van head-on, according to San Antonio police.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. Monday near Old Pearsall Road and Hillburn Drive on the Southwest Side.

The males fled from the vehicle but were later apprehended.

It was not immediately known what warrants the driver was facing or the ages of the two males.

The condition of the van driver is unclear.

The officer was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, police said.
