Police said the driver was trying to avoid a crash and lost control of his speed, crashing into the gas station kiosk.
FORT WORTH, Texas — A driver crashed into a south Fort Worth gas station late Thursday night and was arrested on a drunk driving charge, police said.
The incident happened shortly before midnight in the 7400 block of McCart Avenue, near Sycamore School Road, according to a police statement. Officers responded to a report of a crash and found a 2014 Chevrolet Malbu car had collided with a retail kiosk at a Murphy gas station.
Police said the driver was trying to avoid a crash and lost control of his speed, crashing into the gas station kiosk, which is located between fuel pumps.
Police said the driver “appeared to be intoxicated,” so he was taken to the city jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
No injuries were reported, and there was no damage to the fuel pumps or gas station building.
