LIST: DFW warming shelters open for arctic front next week

DALLAS — An arctic front will hit North Texas on Sunday, and drop temperatures across much of the region down into the 20s by Monday morning.

To help people who have nowhere to go during this below-freezing weather, a number of warming shelters will be opening across North Texas. 

Here’s a list of warming shelters you can find around the metroplex:

• Austin Street Shelter II (2929 Hickory St.)
• Christ Church 1752 E. Airport Freeway, Irving TX 75062
• Oak Lawn United Methodist Church
• Garland Corps Community Center
• The Carr P. Collins Social Service Center

• Presbyterian Night Shelter
• Salvation Army

• First McKinney Baptist Church
• The Plano Corps Community Center

• Salvation Army Denton
