An 18-wheeler overturned on SH-78 and CR-543 in Collin County, officials said.
COLLIN COUNTY, Texas — An overturned 18-wheeler closed a portion of SH-78 Sunday morning after it spilled fuel on the road, officials said.
SH-78 was closed down in the area of FM 6 and CR 543, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Crews, including DPS troopers and hazmat crews, are working on the scene to clean up the fuel, officials said.
The area will be shut down for an undetermined amount of time, officials said.
Southbound traffic on SH-78 is being rerouted onto CR 543 to Eugene Lane to FM 6 and back onto SH-78, according to DPS.
Northbound traffic is being rerouted to FM6 to Eugene Lane to CR 543 and back onto SH-78, officials said.
