Cafe closes Dallas-area locations

 

The café chain has been in the Dallas market for 11 years.

DALLAS — A Houston-based café is closing its North Texas locations.

Black Walnut Café, an all-day breakfast, lunch dinner spot, said on social media that it’s closing its Dallas-area locations after 11 years. The post was shared on the pages for Black Walnut Café’s locations in Allen at 955 W. Stacy Road near North Central Expressway and in Coppell at 775 N. Denton Tap Road near Highway 121.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Black Walnut in Dallas after eleven incredible years of serving the community. This decision was not made lightly, but after much reflection, we believe it is the right time to close this chapter on January 13, 2025,” the post read. “We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Your unwavering support, whether through a kind word, a regular visit, or simply sharing a meal with us, has been the cornerstone of our success.”

Black Walnut Café previously closed a location in Frisco at 5225 Warren Parkway March 1, 2023 and their Colleyville location at 1205 Church Street after eight years Aug. 12, 2024.

Black Walnut Café still has Houston-area locations in Katy, Conroe, in the 5500 block of Memorial Drive in Houston, in Rice Village in the 5500 block of Morningside Drive in Houston, in Vintage Park in the 10000 block of Louetta Road in Houston, and in The Woodlands in the 9000 block of New Trails Drive in The Woodlands, according to the café’s website.

The restaurant’s menu features everything from favorites like omelets and benedicts, as well as soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and more.
