The 24-year-old woman was taken into custody and is being held on a $1 million bond in connection with the murder of Ja’Karrion Craig.
FRISCO, Texas — A second person has been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal shooting in November 2024 that happened near a Frisco Walmart Supercenter, according to police.
On the night of Nov. 13, the Frisco Police Department responded to a shooting at the store located at the northeast corner of Eldorado Parkway and FM 423.
When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Ja’Karrion Craig lying in the parking lot with wounds to his chest and foot. Craig was later pronounced dead at the hospital, Frisco police said.
About a month later, police said they gathered enough evidence to secure a warrant for the arrest of 24-year-old Jada Mansfield of Dallas.
On Jan. 13, 2024, Mansfield was taken into custody in Garland. She’s been charged with murder and is being held at the Denton County Jail on a $1 million bond.
Another suspect, 22-year-old Jerry Johnson of Denton, was arrested a day after the shooting. Johnson has also been charged with murder and is being held at the Denton County Jail.
The motive of the shooting remained unclear, however, Frisco police have said the incident was isolated and that there was no threat to the public.
