Former Canyon Lake High School teacher charged with 18 additional crimes involving minors, records show

  

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A former Canyon Lake High School teacher, who w as arrested for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student in 2023, was charged with 18 additional crimes, according to Comal County Jail online records.

Orlando Naumann, 40, of San Antonio, turned himself in on Feb. 3, 2023, on a warrant issued by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office.

Naumann resigned before the arrest as officials alleged that he had a possible improper relationship with a student.

Naumann was booked into the Comal County Jail on Feb. 3, 2023, and was charged with possession with intent to promote child pornography, records revealed. The charge was not related to the school investigation, the sheriff’s office said.

On Jan. 10, 2025, online court records show Naumann faces 14 additional charges of possession with intent to promote child pornography, two charges of online solicitation of a minor with sexual conduct, and two charges of child pornography.

KSAT contacted the Comal County Sheriff’s Office for more information on the charges, and a spokesperson said the indictment was sealed.

Records show that Naumann remains in the Comal County Jail.
