Not surprisingly, Tuesday was an action-packed day on Capitol Hill, with the Pete Hegseth confirmation hearing taking center stage and the beclowning and buffoonery coming from Democrats on the Senate Armed Services Committee reaching fever pitch.

As we reported, Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) were among those who poured on the righteous indignation and put on their best fauxfended faces, displaying mini-meltdowns towards Hegseth over his belief that actual readiness and consistent standards rather than the woke/DEI handbook would lead to a stronger, more respected United States military.
Hegseth, in turn, had the audacity not to get rattled as they essentially accused him of being an immoral, misogynistic Rethuglican who was unqualified to be President-Elect Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense once he takes office in five days.

Another one who tried to put on a good show for his fellow Democrats was Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), who put on his best male feminist face in lecturing Hegseth over reports of drinking and a prior affair. Though Hegseth stated in response that he knew he was “not a perfect person,” Kaine continued, at one point even stepping way over the line in referencing Hegseth’s young daughter during the hearing.
As we also reported, it was not long after that when Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) absolutely went off, directly referencing Kaine (‘the Senator from Virginia”) in a blistering speech in which he accused Senate Democrats of blatant hypocrisy, asking how often they’d seen Senators arrive for Senate votes drunk and also asking if they were going to demand any of their fellow Senators to step down for cheating on their wives:

“Senator Kaine, or I guess I better use the senator from Virginia, starts bringing up the fact that, what if you showed up drunk to your job? How many senators have showed up drunk to vote at night?” Mullin charged, prompting some audible laughter from individuals in the room. “Have any of you guys asked them to step down and resign from their job? And don’t tell me you haven’t seen it because I know you have.”
We shared the clip at the time, but there’s another one out there that shows the look on Kaine’s face as Mullin was going off, and it spoke volumes.
Watch below as the camera pans a couple of times to Kaine, who by the looks on his face knows he’s been owned by Mullin:
Further, if adultery is a disqualifying thing in Kaine’s eyes, then what was this all about?

I guess this is one of those “It’s (D)ifferent when a Democrat does it” things.
Last but not least, here’s a “caption this” for your enjoyment:
