SAN ANTONIO – TheFrutería-Botanero has rebranded as a lounge, offering a sneak peek at its new cocktail menu, according to the restaurant’s Instagram posts.
Chef Johnny Hernandez announced the restaurant, located at 1401 S. Flores St., would close on Jan. 4.

Since then, the restaurant has changed its name to The Botanero Lounge on Instagram, where it announced a sneak peek at its new cocktail menu and lounge scheduled from 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18.
Complimentary house botana samples will be offered, “because every great drink deserves a perfect bite,” the restaurant said.
The restaurant closure was among the first of 2025 in the city.
