SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Department of Transportation said its crews will begin to pre-treat major roadways and elevated surfaces ahead of wintry weather conditions around San Antonio this weekend.

KSAT asked TxDOT if crews will pre-treat roads during the day or at night, but TxDOT did not confirm which time of day crews will be working on the roads.
The agency is asking drivers to give road crews extra space while they work.

A cold front will likely roll in on Saturday with the coldest air settling in on Sunday with gusty winds.
By Sunday morning, San Antonio is expected to experience near-freezing temperatures.
