SAN ANTONIO – School districts in Bexar County and surrounding areas have canceled classes on Tuesday, Jan. 21 due to forecasted wintry weather.

Below is a list of school districts that are canceling or delaying classes.
Public school districts

Alamo Heights ISD: All campuses and offices will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 21. All athletic and extracurricular activities have also been canceled.

Bandera ISD: School will be canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Blanco ISD: All classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Boerne ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Extracurricular activities and after-school activities are also canceled. The BISD regular January board meeting for Tuesday will be postponed until Monday, Jan. 27.

Carrizo Springs ISD: All campuses and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. After-school and UIL events have also been canceled. A bad weather make-up day is scheduled for April 21.

Crystal City ISD: All classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Classes will resume Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. Buses will operate on a one-hour delayed schedule. The staff development day scheduled for Feb. 20 will now be a full instructional day for both staff and students.

Universities and colleges

Alamo Colleges District: All Alamo Colleges District classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Alamo Colleges District employees will work remotely.

St. Mary’s University: Due to forecasted winter weather conditions, the university said all classes and events will be canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Normal operations are expected to resume on Jan. 22, the school said.

Texas A&M University-San Antonio: All university, classes, events and activities —including the campus — will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The school said it expects to restart classes on Jan. 22.

Texas State University announced all classes on Jan. 21 have been canceled.

University of Texas at San Antonio announced Friday it has canceled classes on Jan. 21. UTSA said its spring semester will begin on Jan. 22.
As of Monday afternoon, some colleges and universities — such as the University of the Incarnate Word, Trinity University, Our Lady of the Lake University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio — have not yet made their Tuesday plans public.
