City of San Antonio delays trash collection amid winter weather, slick roads

  

SAN ANTONIO – The City of San Antonio has delayed the start of trash and recycling collection for Tuesday.

Officials with the City’s Solid Waste Management Department say pickups are expected to begin around 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Start times depend on the area and the slickness of the roads.

Trash collections were already on a different schedule this week due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. All curbside collections are occurring a day later than normal.

  • Regular Monday garbage, recycling, and organics collections moved to Tuesday.
  • Regular Tuesday collections moved to Wednesday.
  • Regular Wednesday collections moved to Thursday.
  • Regular Thursday collections moved to Friday.
  • Regular Friday collections moved to Saturday.

Officials said all brush, bulky and household hazardous waste locations will be closed on Tuesday.
