FORECAST
Our coldest night yet this winter is upon us with morning lows expected to dip into the lower 20s within San Antonio and upper teens in outlying areas. Full sunshine will quickly warm us above freezing by 10am leading to afternoon temperatures near 50°. It won’t be as cold going forward, but prepare for light freezes Thursday and Friday morning.
Afternoon high temperatures will gradually warmup and ultimately peak near 70° on Sunday. Also, prepare for a cloudy stretch of weather beginning Saturday and lasting into next week. Thick low clouds will likely generate drizzle Saturday into Sunday along with isolated showers this weekend and into next week, but as of now we’re not expecting drought-denting accumulations.
HARD FREEZE TONIGHT – COVER EXPOSED PIPES
Temperatures will plummet tonight, thanks to clear skies and light winds. In San Antonio, temperatures are forecast to hit the low-20s, while teens are possible in the Hill Country. This is cold enough to where exposed pipes should be protected.
