SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Four officers were shot while responding to a suicide in progress in the Stone Oak Parkway area, according to the San Antonio Police Department. The suspect, a man in his 40s, remains at large as SWAT teams work to detain him.
The incident began when a family member called police, leading to the arrival of the first officer, who, along with three others, was shot by the suspect. All officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and have been transported to the hospital. The officers involved have between 4 to 8 years of service with the department. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the Stone Oak Parkway and E. Sonterra Boulevard area while the situation remains active.
