ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys‘ 2024 season did not go how many fans had hoped. A season riddled with injuries to key players plagued this team, and it led to Mike McCarthy’s departure from the team.
As the search for a new head coach continues, the Cowboys PR team sent us a year-in-review document filled with stats and facts about the season. So, we’re here to share them with you (as well as adding some of our own). Here’s a look at a Dallas’ season, by the numbers:
- 5: Dallas Cowboys selected to the Pro Bowl: CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons, Brandon Aubrey*, Tyler Smith*, KaVontae Turpin*

- 14: Brandon Aubrey field goals from 50-plus yards, which is an NFL record
- 1,000: Rico Dowdle’s first career 1,000 yard season (1,079) makes him the first undrafted player in franchise history to reach the milestone
- 100: CeeDee Lamb logged 100 catches for the third consecutive season, joining Michael Thomas (Saints) and Brandon Marshall (Broncos) as the only players in NFL history with 100-plus catches in three of their first five seasons
- 12: Dallas’ draft spot in the first round
- 1995: The Cowboys last NFC Championship appearance, which is now the longest active NFC conference championship since the Washington Commanders qualified this season
- 3: Dallas Cowboys selected to All-Pro teams: CeeDee Lamb (third team), Brandon Aubrey (second team), KaVontae Turpin (first team)
- 52: Dallas finished third in the NFL in sacks, trailing only Denver (63) and Baltimore (54)
- The Cowboys also had four, six-sack games, which was the most in the NFL
- 12: Micah Parsons sacks, despite missing four games
- Parsons joined Reggie White as the only players since 1982 with at least 12 sacks in each of their first four seasons
- 7: Home losses
- Dallas went 2-7 at home this season. Their road record was 5-3.
