BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – An AMBER Alert issued Wednesday in the San Antonio area for a missing 3-year-old child last seen in northwest Bexar County ended when the child was found in Austin, U.S. Marshals officials said.
Chandler Baker was safely recovered on Thursday, a news release from the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force states.

Samantha Castaneda, 38, fled her home with the endangered missing child and refused contact with law enforcement and special investigators, the release states.
The U.S. Marshals conducted a missing child investigation. With tips from the public and law enforcement intelligence, that led them to believe the child was in the Austin area.
Deputy U.S. Marshals in San Antonio sent a lead to the Austin Division with a location given by a credible source, the release states.
Austin authorities found surveillance in the area and went to the home to find Castaneda and the missing child.
“Castaneda was given commands and remained complaint,” the release stated.
The child was recovered and placed in state custody.
It is unclear if Castaneda was arrested or will face any charges for the incident.
