She is accused of attempting to provide paper sheets to an inmate at the Karnes County Detention Facility, located approximately 55 miles from downtown San Antonio.

The paper sheets contained synthetic cannabinoids, authorities said.

“Correctional officers are held to a high standard of trust and integrity,” Susan Pamerleau, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas, said. “When we hear of any alleged criminal activity involving individuals in our custody, we will investigate it to the fullest.”
