Both deputies are recovering in the hospital in stable condition.
DALLAS COUNTY, Texas — A driver is facing a DWI after crashing into two Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies’ squad car, the sheriff’s office said.
According to DCSO, the deputies were working an accident on eastbound I-20 at Cockrell Hill Road around 7:20 a.m. on Saturday. The sheriff’s office said while sitting in their squad car with their emergency lights on, a black Mercedes sedan hit them from behind.
DSCO said both deputies and the driver of the Mercedes were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The driver involved in the crash is being charged with driving while intoxicated, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said.
