WOOD COUNTY, Texas — Two East Texas men are dead after crashing into a tree in Wood County Monday afternoon.
Nicolas Wilkins, 22, and Brekilyn Martin, 19, both of Mineola, were going west on County Road 2270 when their vehicle drifted off and hit a tree around 3 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Adam Albritton said.
Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene, Albritton said. The crash remains under investigation.
