Water restored at Jefferson High School after water main break

  

SAN ANTONIOUPDATE – 1/30 10:13 a.m.: According to a San Antonio ISD spokesperson, water has been restored to Thomas Jefferson High School.

Crews with the San Antonio Water System were working to repair the water main break at the campus near Babcock Road on Wednesday.

“Water has been restored to Jefferson High School,” Communications Director Dr. Lorena Publido said. “It was restored yesterday.”

A notification sent to families obtained by KSAT stated that a water line at the school was accidentally cut.

As a result of the issue, students were provided with bottled water. Additionally, Jefferson High School rented a water tank for restroom purposes.

The school’s principal clarified that “lunches and all other campus functions are running as usual.”

SAWS said they are working quickly to fix the 8-inch main water break.

The company anticipates that the water main break will be resolved later Wednesday.
