SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio drivers should prepare for weekend closures on Loop 1604 as part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion project.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) plans to open a new entrance ramp from SH 16 (Bandera Road) to eastbound Loop 1604. To facilitate this, several closures will happen from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, weather permitting.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead. Access to businesses will remain open, and closures may open early if work is completed ahead of schedule.

Loop 1604 EB exit to Hausman Road: Travelers on the Loop 1604 eastbound main lanes looking to access Hausman Road, Kyle Seale Parkway, and Babcock Road will exit via the Bandera Road exit ramp onto the Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road.

Loop 1604 EB frontage road to EB main lanes: Travelers on the eastbound Loop 1604 frontage road looking to enter the main lanes will continue on the frontage road and use the entrance ramp after Kyle Seale Parkway.

Loop 1604 EB main lanes: Travelers on the Loop 1604 eastbound main lanes will exit via the Hausman Road exit and continue on the frontage road. They may re-enter the Loop 1604 eastbound main lanes at the first available entrance ramp after Kyle Seale Parkway.
