adidas revealed the official ball for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, set in the US, featuring a striking red, white, and blue design.
HERZOGENAURACH, Germany — adidas unveiled the official match ball for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which is set to be played in the United States this summer.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will see 32 of the best soccer teams from around the world come to America and play 63 matches over 30 days, starting on June 14. The Seattle Sounders and Inter Miami CF are the only MLS clubs in the FIFA Club World Cup. Other top soccer clubs competing include Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Boca Juniors, Borussia Dortmund and more. A full list of the 32 teams competing is online here .
The design of the adidas match ball pays homage to the host nation, United States, featuring a striking red, white and blue colorway.
“We wanted to create a ball which pays tribute to the USA’s infamous sporting culture and fandom,” Sam Handy, GM adidas Football, said. “With this came a clear ambition to create something bold, loud, iconic, and unmistakably American. It’s a true celebration of the host nation and we’re excited to see it perform on the world’s biggest stage this summer.”
The ball features adidas Connected Ball Technology – which enables faster, more accurate officiating decisions. Inside the ball, there is a 500Hz inertial measurement unit (IMU) motion sensor, which is powered by a rechargeable battery.

The technology sends precise ball data to the VAR system in real time – which when combined with player position data and by applying artificial intelligence, helps video match officials (VMOs) make faster offside decisions, adidas said in a press release.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match ball will be available for purchase in adidas retail stores, selected retailers and online at adidas.com starting Feb. 1.
