SAN ANTONIO – A man was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on the Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m. on the 8100 block of Bandera Road.

According to police, before the driver realized he struck the victim, the driver suddenly felt an impact and saw “debris” flying over his car.
SAPD said the driver found the man lying on the median injured. Police said the victim was wearing all-black clothing.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and rendered aid.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
It’s unclear if the driver will face any charges at this time.
