The westbound lanes of I-635 will remain closed for several hours Monday morning, officials said.
DALLAS — The westbound lanes of Interstate 635 were closed Monday morning due to a crash, officials said.
A crash was reported around 5 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-635 near McCree Road, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. All lanes remained closed at 5:30 a.m., officials said.
An 18-wheeler and SUV were involved in the crash, the Garland Police Department said in a social media post. The driver of the SUV struck a barrier, causing it to bounce into the path of the 18-wheeler, police said. The highway will likely remain closed for one or two hours, police said.
No major injuries were reported as a result of the crash, police said.
