FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police are searching for a suspect after a person was shot to death Monday night.
According to police, officers were called that night to the 700 block of West Anthony Street, where they found the victim on the ground with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the torso.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment but died from his injuries, police said.
Police said the victim and several other people were involved in a physical altercation when someone shot the victim at least once with a handgun.
The suspect then reportedly fled the scene on foot.
No one has been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon. Police have not identified the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
