College baseball season is here! Here’s where to catch the top teams in North Texas

 

Top college baseball teams gather in North Texas for the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, Amegy Bank College Baseball Series and Frisco College Baseball Classic

DALLAS — Some of the best college baseball teams converge on North Texas for three annual events: the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series and the Frisco College Baseball Classic.

You’ll have someone to cheer for whether you’re shouting Hook’em Horns, Woo Pig Sooie or Sic’em Bears!

Here’s where to catch your favorite college team tear it up on the diamond.

Shriner’s Children College Showdown (Feb. 14-16)

The Shriner’s Children’s College Showdown is kicking off baseball season at Globe Life Field for Texas, Clemson, Oklahoma State, Louisville, Ole Miss and Arizona. With three days of triple-header action, this inter-conference series is pitting some of the top teams in the country against one another. Here’s a look at the schedule.

Friday, Feb. 14

  • Oklahoma State vs. Clemson – 11 a.m.
  • Arizona vs. Ole Miss – 3 p.m.
  • Texas vs. Louisville – 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 15

  • Clemson vs. Arizona – 11 a.m.
  • Louisville vs. Oklahoma State – 3 p.m.
  • Ole Miss vs. Texas – 7 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 16

  • Louisville vs. Arizona – 10:30 a.m.
  • Ole Miss vs. Clemson – 2:30 p.m.
  • Oklahoma State vs. Texas – 6:30 p.m.

Amegy Bank College Baseball Series (Feb. 18-March 5)

The weekend action continues at Globe Life Field, and a few weekday games are even thrown into the mix during the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series. TCU, Arkansas, Michigan, Kansas State, Auburn, Ohio State, Baylor, Oregon State, Texas State, UT Arlington, LSU, DBU, Wichita State and Abilene Christian University will all compete during the two weeks of play inside the Rangers’ home stadium. Here’s the slate of games for the series.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

  • Texas State vs. Oklahoma State – 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

  • Oklahoma vs. UT Arlington – 7 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 21

  • TCU vs. Michigan – 3 p.m.
  • Kansas State vs. Arkansas – 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 22 

  • Michigan vs. Kansas State – 2 p.m.
  • Arkansas vs. TCU – 6 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 23

  • Michigan vs. Arkansas – 11 a.m.
  • Kansas State vs. TCU – 3 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 26

  • LSU vs. Dallas Baptist – 7 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 28

  • Auburn vs. Ohio State – 3 p.m.
  • Baylor vs. Oregon State – 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 1

  • Ohio State vs. Baylor – 2 p.m.
  • Oregon State vs. Auburn – 6 p.m.

Sunday, March 2

  • Ohio State vs. Oregon State – 11 a.m.
  • Auburn vs. Baylor – 3 p.m.

Wednesday, March 5

  • Wichita State vs. Abilene Christian – 6 p.m.

Frisco College Baseball Classic (Feb. 28 – March 2)

Last but not least, college baseball will take over Frisco’s minor league stadium! Riders Field will host LSU, Sam Houston, Kansas State and Nebraska for a three-day series deemed the “Best Outside of Omaha.” Here’s a look at the weekend slate.

Friday, Feb. 28

  • LSU vs. Kansas State – 2 p.m.
  • Nebraska vs. Sam Houston – 6 p.m.

Saturday, March 1

  • Kansas State vs. Nebraska – 12 p.m.
  • Sam Houston vs. LSU – 4 p.m.
