SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a shooting and stabbing involving a man and a woman, both in their mid-20s, on the Southeast Side.
Police were called to the 4700 block of Stringfellow Drive, just west of Pecan Valley Drive and north of East Southcross, late Friday morning.
The woman was shot twice in the lower torso, while the man sustained a stab wound to the chest, according to SAPD. Both were transported to a local hospital and were in stable condition at last check.
It is suspected that the man and woman may have lived together and were in a dating relationship. Police said the causes of the shooting and stabbing remain unclear and are under investigation.
The crime scene extended to two buildings because a third-party witness moved the handgun involved to another location. The type of handgun used is unknown, and it is undetermined if the witness was involved in the incident. Officers have secured both the gun and the knife involved in the incident.
The altercation appears to have occurred in an apartment building.
Police are not looking for additional suspects at this time.
