“The district has notified the proper authorities, staff and the parents of all students involved,” McKinney ISD said in a statement.
MCKINNEY, Texas — Police and the McKinney Independent School District confirmed to WFAA Friday they have been investigating an incident involving some members of the McKinney Boyd High School soccer team.
“There is currently an investigation underway regarding an alleged student incident within the program,” McKinney ISD said in a statement.
It’s unclear how many members of the boys’ soccer team were involved as the details surrounding the incident were not immediately released. However, the district did say the McKinney Police Department has been contacted.
“The district has notified the proper authorities, staff and the parents of all students involved,” McKinney ISD said.
The district said they have taken the “appropriate steps to investigate and provide supportive and corrective measures in response to the allegation.”
McKinney PD and the district told WFAA the investigation is ongoing.
“Please know that the safety and well-being of our players remains the highest priority,” McKinney ISD said.
