According to police, the suspect was booked into the Denton County Jail on Feb. 1.
SOUTHLAKE, Texas — A 28-year-old man from Aubrey, Texas was arrested on Feb. 1 and charged with indecency with a child, police said.
According to the Southlake Police Department, detectives issued warrants for Mitchell Joseph Allan for two charges of indecency with a child/sexual contact on Jan. 29. Three days later on Feb. 1, Allan was arrested by the Elm Ridge Police Department and booked into the Denton County Jail, police said.
Southlake DPS said in a news release the warrants were issued after reports of abuse occurred while Allan was working as a coach for a private basketball program.
Police said because of the sensitive nature of the investigation, no additional information would be released. However, they are asking parents with children who may have interacted with Allan to contact them if they suspect abuse.
