Influential DFW figures set to be featured at SXSW

Kieth Lee, who recently moved to the Dallas area, will discuss entrepreneurship and the creator economy.

AUSTIN, Texas — When food reviewer Keith Lee moved to North Texas last year, he instantly became one of DFW’s most influential… influencers. Now, he’s taking that influence to Austin for SXSW.

He will discuss entrepreneurship and the creator economy with the founder and CEO of Digital Voices Jennifer Quigley-Jones to discuss how creators can use digital tools to grow their audience, according to a press release from the festival.

Lee has already made an impact on his new home, posting reviews and highlighting locally-owned businesses. A good review from Lee can be a game-changer for small business owners.

Other influential Dallasites will also be featured at SXSW including CEO of Colossal Biosciences Ben Lamm. The Dallas company is working on technologies like gene editing, cloning and artificial wombs to restore extinct species. He will speak with actor Joe Manganiello and share a special announcement about the company’s work, the release states.

Mark Cuban will also be in attendance, speaking about how small businesses can succeed. He will be joined in conversation by the CEO of BeatBox Beverages Justin Fenchel, Chief Empowerment Officer at Clover Tabitha Brown and Chief Brand, Marketing, and Communications Officer for Fiserv Shannon Watkins.

The Dallas delegation will participate in the annual festival alongside dozens of other speakers from across the country. To see the full list of speakers, go here
