Police responded to a shooting in the 5200 block of Mansfield Highway Friday afternoon.
FOREST HILL, Texas — A triple shooting at an auto sales business killed two people Friday, according to the Forest Hill Police Department.
Around 3:30 p.m., police said officers responded to reports of a shooting at a business in the 5200 block of Mansfield Highway. Police said when officers arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds and began life-saving measures.
MedStar confirmed to WFAA that it transported the three victims to a nearby hospital. Two of them were later pronounced dead, Forest Hill PD said. The condition of the third person is unknown at this time.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
HD Chopper 8 was flying above the scene Friday afternoon and captured multiple vehicles riddled with bullet holes.
It’s unclear what led up to the incident but police said the investigation is ongoing. Police combed through evidence at RK Auto Sales.
“Investigators are processing evidence and interviewing multiple witnesses,” Forest Hill PD said in a news release.
One witness, Kevin Keener, told WFAA he watched as police performed CPR on an injured man.
“Aw man, it’s horrible man.. it’s terrible. Look how cold is here, you would think everybody would be inside trying to stay warm,” Keener said. “When I seen that dude on the ground, it reminded me, cause I’ve been shot before, of me laying on the ground.”
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers, and the Fort Worth, Kennedale and Everman Police Departments also responded to the scene.
This is a developing story WFAA will provide updates as soon as it becomes available.
