PLANTERSVILLE, Texas (KBTX) -One person is dead, and multiple others are injured following a multi-vehicle crash at Texas 249 and County Road 304 in Grimes County, according to Sheriff Don Sowell.
Authorities say the crash occurred Saturday afternoon. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are investigating, and a justice of the peace has been called to the scene.
According to DPS, the highway is currently shut down while the investigation continues.
Emergency crews responded to reports of entrapments at the scene. Officials have not released the identities of those involved or details on the conditions of the injured.
