Woman dies in fatal crash, Dallas police say

 

A woman died after she crashed into a fence and a tree, Dallas police said.

DALLAS — A woman died after colliding with a fence and a tree in southern Dallas Monday, officials said. 

Officers responded to a crash around 5:08 p.m. Monday at 6200 S. Hampton Road, Dallas police said in a press release. Investigators found that a woman driving a red vehicle north on South Hampton Road was hit by a white vehicle attempting to turn left and head eastbound on W. Red Bird Lane, the release states. 

The impact of the crash redirected the red vehicle into a fence and then a tree, the release states. The driver of the red vehicle was taken to a hospital where she died, police said. The drivers weren’t identified.

It’s unclear if the driver and passenger in the white vehicle were injured in the crash, or if the incident is under investigation.
