DALLAS — A suspect is in custody after shooting and killing a person, police said.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the 2600 block of The Mall, according to the Dallas Police Department. Police said at that scene, they found a person who had been shot. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the shooting victim to the hospital, where they died, DPD confirmed.
The department announced that it has a suspect in custody but did not disclose any further details. DPD said the investigation is ongoing.
