A woman was injured in a shooting on Interstate 35E, officials said.
LEWISVILLE, Texas — A woman was shot and injured Saturday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35E in Lewisville, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call at 11:40 a.m. in the 1800 block of I-35E at Corporate Drive, Lewisville police said in a statement.
An adult woman was hit by gunfire and taken to a local hospital, officials said. The victim was treated and released from the hospital, according to the statement.
A suspect was arrested in connection with the shooting at 9:36 p.m. Saturday, officials said. Police did not release any additional information about the identity of the victim or suspect.
