One person was killed and another was injured in a crash on Interstate 30 Friday, Grand Prarie police said.
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — A motorcyclist was killed and their passenger was injured Friday in a crash on Interstate 30, Grand Prarie police said.
Grand Prarie police responded to a crash around 6:50 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-30, police said in a press release. A motorcyclist collided with a Chevy pickup truck in slow-moving traffic, officials said.
The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. The motorcycle’s passenger was transported to the hospital. Police did not release additional information on the condition of the passenger.
The driver of the pickup was uninjured, officials said. Witnesses told police the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred, according to the release.
The crash is under investigation, officials said.
