Six Flags Over Texas hired its first-ever executive chef and elevated its food options for 2025.

ARLINGTON, Texas — With spring on the horizon and warmer weather already in the forecast, it’s amusement park season. If you’re planning a trip to Six Flags Over Texas this year, you’ll have a wider variety of food options to choose from!

Monday, the Arlington theme park announced it hired its first-ever executive chef, Douwe Iedema. According to the park, Ched Iedema is a French-trained chef who has worked at a Michelin star restaurant, NATO headquarters and with the Dutch royal family across a more than 25-year career.

With the hiring, the park is elevating its dining options this year!

Chef Iedema has overhauled the menus for seven of the park’s restaurants. While he’s kept some old, familiar favorites on the menu, he’s also added some new iconic Texas dishes.
