The man is being held at the Denton County Jail with a bond set at $1 million.
PROSPER, Texas — The Prosper Police Department arrested Miles Todd Perez after he burglarized a home and stole a computer, which he used to download child pornography, the department said.
According to police, on Friday, March 7, Perez was arrested following the burglary and theft and charged with burglary of a habitation, stalking and tampering with a GPS ankle monitor.
Police said at the time of this crime that Perez was not allowed at the home due to bond conditions from a 2024 arrest for possession of child pornography.
According to Prosper PD, after Perez was released from the Denton County Jail on bond, detectives conducted a follow-up investigation, which led them to discover that Perez had downloaded more pornographic images of minors while he had the stolen computer.
Prosper PD arrested Perez again on Wednesday, March 12, and charged him with possession of child pornography, a second-degree felony. His bond is set at $1 million, the department said.
Prosper PD said the investigation remains ongoing.
