Thick plume of smoke erupts amid fire at West Dallas recycling plant, firefighters responding

 

Dallas Fire-Rescue said the fire is at a recycling plant at 4141 Singleton Blvd.

DALLAS — A large fire broke out at a recycling plant in West Dallas.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, their department received a call about a fire at 3:43 p.m. at a recycling plant at 4141 Singleton Blvd. Responding firefighters reported a heavy fire with a thick column of smoke.

WFAA has a crew at the scene, who reported seeing a transformer explode and multiple fire trucks responding to the fire.

The plume of smoke was so large, it could be seen from the Medical District.
