Scattered severe storms are possible this weekend
DALLAS — Saturday night through Sunday morning and again late Sunday afternoon through evening have been declared WFAA Weather Alert Days by the WFAA Weather Team.
Isolated to scattered storms will move through the DFW area late Saturday and Sunday with a chance of large hail up to the size of quarters. There is another wave that comes through Sunday afternoon that could produce large hail and gusty winds mainly east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. These severe storms would be very isolated if they happen. Most will NOT see severe weather.

WHEN
Saturday night after 10 p.m.

Sunday Afternoon & Evening

IMPACT
We discussed the severe risk above; outside of that, the storms will have heavy rain and lightning, so plans will be heavily impacted outside of the threat of large hail. Please remember that not everyone sees thunderstorms, and if you do, not every storm will be severe. Overall, this is a low-end risk for strong or severe storms. The coverage is equally as low.
NEED
Simply put, you just need to stay informed. Make sure you have a way to get warnings.
