Amy Klobuchar Makes Wild Suggestion That Voting Democrat Will Stop Hurricanes

Apparently, Democrats have the power of gods and can halt major meteorological occurrences. Or, at least, that’s what Minnesota Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar is telling us.

During an interview on MSNBC, Klobuchar was spiking the football over the climate change bill they recently passed. You know, the one that they initially billed as something that would address the out-of-control inflation brought about by the policy decisions these Democrats have been making.

Klobuchar was talking about these bipartisan efforts to push these bills forward when she crossed into the realm of the ridiculous and suggested that people need to vote Democrats in during the midterms and used hurricane Ian barreling down on Florida as an example of why Democrats deserve power.

The suggestion here is that voting for Democrats will be the first step to stopping things like hurricanes from happening.

I don’t need to explain to you, dear reader, that hurricanes aren’t something that was brought about by anything man has done. They’re a natural phenomenon that’s been occurring since the dawn of time. They even occur on other planets where there are no humans.

There are one of two conclusions we can reach about Klobuchar and neither of them is good.

The first conclusion is that Klobuchar thinks that Democrats legitimately have the power to stop hurricanes with “green” legislation and that should Democrats have total control of the United States, then destructive weather will become a thing of the past. As I half-joked earlier, this means that Democrats believe themselves to be capable of doing things that only mythical gods could do.

They can’t, and even if they did make the United States a wholly “green” place, they’d still have pollution spewing out of countries like China and India, which give no real indication that they plan on becoming green themselves save some talk. This makes Klobuchar and Democrats like her incompetent and ignorant.

The second conclusion we can reach is that Klobuchar knows they don’t have that power and is actively lying to you. They know nothing they do will change the weather but are purposefully telling you they can in hopes you’re stupid enough to believe them.

This means that Klobuchar and Democrats like her are maliciously manipulating you in order to gain power for themselves.

No matter how you swing it, this is a horrible thing for Klobuchar to suggest, but she’s not the only one. The Democrats seem to have a habit of blaming major weather events on their political enemies like druids proclaiming that the sins of their tribe angered the gods.

It wasn’t that long ago that New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was blaming rich white men for a hurricane that killed her grandfather:

“[T]he people that are producing climate change, the folks that are responsible for the largest amount of emissions, or communities, or corporations, they tend to be predominantly white, correct?” she asked at a hearing of the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on civil rights and civil liberties.

The National Wildlife Federation’s Mustafa Ali replied that “yes, and every study backs that up I know no one is intentionally trying to kill people and hurt people.”

“My own grandfather died in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria,” said Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, referring to the 2017 Puerto Rico storm that ultimately left about 3,000 dead. “We can’t act as though the inertia and history of colonization doesn’t play a role in this.”

Like Klobuchar, it’s unclear if AOC thinks she actually has the power to stop hurricanes or if she knows she doesn’t and wants you to believe she does.

No matter how you cut it, the Democrats want you to think they have powers beyond what they actually have, and it really shows the hubris they’ve been infected by. No one that high on their own supply should be anywhere near a seat of power.
