WASHINGTON – The House passed the Interior Appropriations bill on Wednesday (July 24th), including more than $2.4 million in funding for projects across South Texas. The projects included in the Interior Appropriations legislation include:• $1 million for the City of Edinburg water lab project;• $740,000 for the City of McAllen pump station improvements; and• $742,528 for the City of George West wastewater treatment plant upgrades.“I am excited to have included these projects in the Interior Appropriations bill,” De La Cruz said. “Listening to the citizens of South Texas and securing the funding needed to improve our communities is a large part of my job in Congress. I will continue to fight for the projects our communities desperately need so all citizens are served by our work in Congress, not just a select few.” The bill next goes to the Senate for consideration.
